Store Boutique: Home Accessories
Future Icons
Future Icons represents a select collection of design and craft led businesses that produce the finest interior accessories, furniture, metalworks, textiles, artwork and objet d’art internationally.
Launched in May 2017, Future Icons director, Louisa Pacifico created this bespoke agency to support selected brands by introducing them to commercial and profile-raising opportunities. She recognises, that clients of Future Icons can struggle with the balance of maintaining every aspect of their business by themselves, therefore supports them to allow them to do what they do best; create.
Located at No.70, Future Icons will present 14 key craft practitioners across two levels in a beautiful boutique. Comprising of home accessories, jewellery furniture and wall-based artworks, our makers have created collections from wood, metal, ceramics, textiles and leather.
Many of the collections on show have been produced exclusively during lockdown, often in make shift home studios. These will be the first public showing of these products, a chance for visitors to view and purchase directly from the store and support the work of luxury craft practitioners.

During the Spring /Summer of 2020 Claire developed a new range of artworks in response to the new way of life we were experiencing. Taking inspiration from her daily walks past blossoming spring gardens and flourishing wild flowers in the parks. This collection of 12 unique floral studies each hold a memory of a moment in lockdown.
Poppies growing from cracks in pavements, wild yellow iris and bluebells from a woodland walks. Claire would sketch these florals in the evenings on her sewing machine, reflecting on the beauty of nature and those precious moments outside.

Judy McKenzie: Comforting Skies
This has been a time of such great uncertainty, and for a lot of people on the planet, a time of great sadness. There was a oneness to our individual struggles to make sense of what was happening, and to find our own ways to cope with such an unprecedented global disaster. Judy’s new body of work has been inspired by looking up to the clear and beautiful Lockdown Skies. It was a comforting thought, that although we were in isolation, we were all connected by the skies above us. We were not alone.
Handmade one-off porcelain vessels and platters. Prices from £245.
Kate Lewis / The News Pressed: The Bees
To celebrate coming out of lockdown Kate is releasing 100 Bees made during quarantine from collaged global newspapers. The bees represent all of us working together to fight this global pandemic. Having sold these exclusively through her social media sites, this limited-edition collection will be available to view and purchase directly from our retail space.
All original artworks are from £160, customised versions will be available for commission.
Kevin Stamper: Trinket Boxes
These gorgeous little wooden trinket boxes were handmade in London by Kevin Stamper during the lockdown as an exciting study into design and small-scale production. The results are beautiful and unique, featuring brightly coloured geometric patterns and organic marquetry designs inspired by artists such as Miro and Matisse.
Each box is made from solid wood and lined with colourful faux suede; available in two sizes: Cube Box – 8cm long x 8cm wide x 7cm high or Tray Box – 12cm long x 8cm wide x 5cm high. Prices start from £70.00 each.
Louise Heighes: Wild Flower
These pieces of work were inspired by the wild flowers that were in bloom during lockdown: being allowed out of the house for such brief snatches of time made seeing them all the more inspiring. Louise’s work is created by using two layers of leather which have been cut and intertwined together.
Prices from £300.00 – £1000.00.
Zeinhab Harding: Rebirth
Imbued with the historic Zeinab Harding’s work elevates the Acanthus leaf into the contemporary. Harding’s work invites the viewer to consider the Acanthus’ symbolic qualities, contemplating the notion of regeneration and restoration. With each viewing its significance shifts and grows within varying physical spaces and audiences. Harding plays with ornament and shape. Her work forms a dialogue at the intersection of architecture, art and craft.
